Facade insulation at the former Alfa factory

Facade insulation Chisinau, industrial building

The client needed complete insulation of selected facade areas at the former Alfa factory. The total insulated area was 1,200 m².

Because of the building height and architectural constraints, scaffolding was not economically reasonable and in some zones technically impossible. The work plan accounted for limited facade access and higher safety requirements.

The building was insulated using a wet facade system with 100 mm EPS boards. The team prepared the substrate, installed and additionally fixed the insulation boards, treated joints, corners and connections, then applied the reinforced protective layer and finish.

Special attention was given to reliable insulation fixing, reinforcement quality, sealed connections and resistance to weather exposure. The result is a durable thermal insulation system adapted to the existing building.

Result: Facade areas covering 1,200 m² in total were insulated.

Complete facade cleaning at Zorile City Mall

Window and facade cleaning Zorile City Mall

A complete facade cleaning project was carried out for Zorile City Mall, covering about 15,000 m². Industrial rope access was chosen because boom lifts would have been costly and difficult to use on several parts of the building.

Rope access made it possible to reach all necessary facade zones without scaffolding or a large amount of lifting equipment. This mattered around entrances, advertising structures and complex facade connections.

The main challenge was the large surface area and the variety of facade materials. Much of the building is clad with Alubond composite panels, with many signs, illuminated structures and decorative elements on the facade.

Before work started, specialists assessed the surfaces and selected the cleaning method for each zone. Main areas were cleaned with professional pressure-washing equipment, while zones near signage and sensitive surfaces were cleaned manually.

Result: The shopping complex facades were fully cleaned without damaging composite panels, signage or decorative elements.

Design, fabrication and installation of the Panda Kids play area

Adventure parks and climbing walls Panda Kids

The team was tasked with creating a modern play area for the Panda Kids entertainment center. The client's key requirement was the highest possible safety level for children.

Alpwork delivered the full scope: concept development, preliminary engineering calculations, fabrication, delivery and installation of all play-area elements directly on site.

During the design stage, the initial data was analyzed, expected loads were calculated, structural solutions were developed and a complete set of technical drawings was prepared. Every element was detailed with operation, user age group and potential risks in mind.

Because Moldova did not have a single approved regulatory framework for children's play areas at the time of the project, the team followed applicable European safety standards and requirements.

Special attention was paid to structural stability, reliable joints and anchors, safe distances between play elements, and reducing the risk of falls and injuries. Installation was carried out strictly according to the drawings and engineering calculations.

Result: The client received a fully completed project: from the initial idea to a ready-to-use play area that met the requirements for safety, functionality and build quality.

Work organization

How we manage large projects

Before work starts, the team assesses access, facade materials, risk zones and site restrictions. Then we choose the technology, schedule and quality-control method.

01

Survey

We assess height, access, facade materials, advertising structures and areas with limited approach.

02

Technology

We choose the method: wet facade insulation, pressure washing, manual cleaning or rope-system installation.

03

Safety

We plan rope protection, work-zone fencing and movement of specialists on the facade.

04

Quality control

Work is phased, while joints, connections and hard-to-reach zones are checked separately.
